Two wolves
A wise Indian, sitting by the fire, said to his grandson: “There is a struggle in every person. This struggle is very similar to the struggle of two wolves. One wolf represents evil: anger, envy, jealousy, pride, greed, arrogance, self-pity, lies and other bad manifestations. The other wolf represents good: truthfulness, selfless care, kindness and other good manifestations.”
The little boy, being deeply touched by these words, thought for a long time, and then asked: “And which wolf wins? The evil wolf or the good one?”
The Indian answered: “Remember that the wolf you feed always wins.”
